Executive Director, Friends of Zanmi Beni
Position: Executive Director, Friends of Zamni Beni
Reporting to the Board of Directors, and working closely with the ZB Advisory Committee, the
Executive Director (ED) will have overall responsibility for planning and
implementing all activities of the organization to achieve the overarching goals of building the
profile of the organization in the Miami community and increasing fundraising revenue.
This is a 30 hour a week position with on-site office hours and a flexible schedule.
Job Requirements
● Organized, detail-oriented self-starter
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Proficient in technology and social media
● Committed to the mission of Zanmi Beni
● Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse groups of people as well as independently
● Ability to set and achieve strategic goals and objectives
● Able to travel to Haiti for short trips occasionally
● Available on occasional nights and weekends
Key areas of Responsibilities
● Actively engage, motivate and energize volunteers
● Build ZB Friending program
● Support volunteers with event planning and implementation
● Website maintenance, social media presence, monthly electronic newsletter
● Support and build donor relationships
● Research, write and submit grant proposals
● Manage donor acknowledgements
● Prepare and track budget and prepare financial reports
● Develop marketing and fundraising materials
